Spring in Atlanta is truly one of the most beautiful times of the year for senior photos—and Regan’s session was the perfect example of why 🌿✨
Regan, a senior at St. Pius X Catholic High School, is graduating this year and heading to University of Mississippi (Ole Miss!) this fall. She wanted a senior session that felt fresh, natural, and full of greenery—with flowers, soft light, and meaningful moments with her loved ones.
A Hidden Gem in Sandy Springs 🌸
One of my favorite parts of being a senior photographer in Atlanta is discovering new locations—and Regan and her family introduced me to such a beautiful hidden gem in Sandy Springs.
This park had everything:
- A charming old house with a terrace
- Small bridges and winding paths
- Lush greenery in every direction
- Tons of unique backdrops all within walking distance
I absolutely love when clients bring me to new spots—it keeps every session creative and unique!
Since we stayed in one main area and added a quick stop at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center just a few minutes away, Regan was able to fit in more outfits than usual—which made the session even more fun and versatile.
Effortless Style & Four Perfect Outfits 👗
Regan planned four outfits that reflected her personality and her love for blue tones:
- Casual & Fun – Jean shorts, an Ole Miss t-shirt, and Santiags boots (perfect for including her dog 🐾)
- Clean & Modern – White stretchy pants with a light blue sleeveless top
- Soft & Feminine – A long skirt with a matching floral crop top
- Elegant & Flowing – A long striped white and light blue dress
Each look worked beautifully with the natural and architectural backdrops, giving her a full, diverse gallery.
Natural, Joyful, and Full of Movement
Regan was an absolute dream to photograph. She fully trusted my direction and was willing to try everything—from:
- Sitting and standing poses
- Leaning and structured (squared) portraits
- Walking and candid movement
- Twirling, laughing, and just having fun
And as always… I’m never short on new ideas 😉
We also captured a few really special moments with her dog and some sweet photos with her mom—those are always the images that end up meaning the most.
Golden Hour Magic in Atlanta ☀️
We scheduled her session at the end of the day to take full advantage of that soft, golden spring light—and it did not disappoint. The glow through the trees, the warmth on her skin, and the soft shadows created that timeless, dreamy look I love so much for senior portraits.
A Perfect Ending at Sandy Springs Center
To finish the session, we headed to the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center for a completely different vibe—clean lines, modern architecture, and fountains. It’s one of my go-to locations for seniors who want variety in their gallery, and it complemented her outfits perfectly.
Congratulations, Regan! 🎓
Regan, it was such a joy capturing this exciting season of your life. You brought so much energy, positivity, and style to your session—and it truly shows in every image.
Congratulations on your graduation. I’m wishing you the absolute best as you start this new adventure at University of Mississippi 💙
You’re going to do amazing things!
