I’m so excited to share this Atlanta milestone portrait session with you! Molly’s 9 month was a joy to capture and Stephanie made me discover a beautiful location, Johns Creek Environmental Campus in Alpharetta GA.
Molly’s 9 month Atlanta milestone portrait session in Alpharetta GA
This place has a lot of nice spots and even better, it is a meaningful location for Molly’s parents. This is where they had their engagement pictures taken! This was so perfect!
And to make this session even more memorable, read till the end to see an original (or comical?) situation which happened to me, or should I say to my hair, mid-session…
Milestone sessions are the best ways to watch you baby grow
Capturing milestone portrait sessions is such a joy. It is the best way to watch your baby grow!
When you see your baby all the time, the daily changes are sometimes so tinny that you don’t even notice them. To see how much they’ve changed in such a short amount of time you need to take a step back. Milestone photos, capturing your baby as a newborn, at 3 month, 6 month, 9 month and then one year is the perfect way to do that.

This was my 3rd photo session with Molly and her family. After capturing pictures of her as a newborn, at 6 month (with Covid, we missed the 3 month window…), she is now 9 month old!
She’s the sweetest thing and loves to give big smiles when you talk to her or make funny noises. Calm and happy during the whole session, she did an amazing job!
A memorable event during our 9 month portrait session!
Okay, let’s talk about the event which happened mid-session!!! I don’t know if I should really share that… First we need to put it into context. I wanted to catch Mollie’s brother’s attention so I took one of his toys cars and held it on top of my camera. This car had a motor which made the wheels turn (go round and round, round and round, round and round…). You might start seeing where I’m going there… While turning, the wheels grabbed a bunch of my hair which got stuck! Impossible to separate it from the car.
Stephanie was the sweetest and spent the next minutes finding a solution, she even took the wheels off the car to free my hair! In the meantime, I was ready to cut it, as I was so afraid we might miss the best light for our pictures!!! Thanks to Stephanie, we didn’t have to go that far! and even better, we got an amazing light!
Happy 9 months Mollie and thanks again Stephanie for your help! We will all remember this milestone portrait session! See you at your first birthday Mollie!
