Holiday Cards Checklist

One of the best parts of the holiday season is sending and receiving holiday cards.

December being only a few weeks away, this is the perfect time to start thinking about the beautiful cards that will delight everyone who receive it.

Not sure where to start? Let me help you!

I’ve created a Holiday Cards Checklist that includes all the steps you need to think about to send out your cards on time!

Don’t be afraid of the number of steps here, it is very detailed to make sure you don’t forget anything!

Detailed Holiday Cards Checklist

  • Book your photographer (a mini session is perfect for that) or use a tripod

  • Check with your photographer the turn around time to get the photos. Usually it takes between 1 and 2 weeks to get your pictures

  • Coordinate and try on outfits – kids are growing faster than you think! I know that from experience 🙂

  • Have fun during your photo session and get as much variety as you can. The more options you have to select from, the better

  • Create or update the list of people you want to sent your cards to and check any address change, there is always someone who moved house…

  • Select your printing company and the card style you like most

  • Once you’ve received your photo gallery, select THE picture(s)

  • Order your cards (include the high resolution version of your pictures) and check the processing and shipping time. I always ask them to add a return address on the envelopes. It saves you time and adds a nice finishing touch! I try to do it before Thanksgiving week so that I receive my package just after the long weekend

  • Buy stamps, don’t forget the international ones. You can do it online, it will save you a trip to the post office which can take forever during the busy holiday season. I also know that from experience…

  • Invite friends to a card addressing party! You can also ask your printing company to do it for you

  • Send your holiday cards! Don’t forget to keep a few extra ones

  • Decide how you’ll display the greeting cards you receive

CONGRATULATIONS you did it!

Now have fun comparing your card to the ones from previous years. My kids love to point out how much they changed over the years 🙂 so don’t forget to keep a few extra ones!
