I recently had such a wonderful time capturing Pace Academy senior photos for Mia in Atlanta’s beautiful Brookhaven and Sandy Springs neighborhoods! Mia is not only a senior at Pace Academy but also a talented tennis player, and I was thrilled when she and her mum came back to me for her senior portraits — I had photographed their family a couple of years ago, so it felt extra special to see them again.
From the very beginning, Mia was full of joy and excitement, eager to try every pose — even the ones that feel a little strange but always look amazing on camera! Her positive energy made the whole session so much fun, and I loved how her personality shined through in every photo. Wearing outfits that feel like you makes such a difference during a session (I share more tips in my What to Wear for Senior Photos guide you receive once your book).
Casual Start: Park Bridge & Woods Portraits
We began the session with a casual outfit — jeans, her school leather jacket, and her tennis state team ring. The bridge and wooded areas of the park were perfect for this look — natural, relaxed, and full of warm tones that highlighted her easygoing confidence. These first portraits really set the tone for the day: timeless, joyful, and full of energy.

Tennis Court Fun & Playful Moment
Next, Mia changed into her tennis outfit for some fun portraits on the court. She brought her racket and a few tennis balls, and we laughed our way through some playful shots that celebrated her passion for the sport. These images were the perfect mix of athletic and lighthearted — exactly what senior photos should capture.
Golden Hour Magic in the Park
To wrap up the day, we moved to another nearby park, in Sandy Spring, that catches the most beautiful golden light at sunset. Mia first wore a short colorful skirt and a white top — the same recognizable brand she wore for all her school portraits since she was in kindergarten! — before changing into a green and white jumper dress that matched the background perfectly. The colors, light, and her joyful energy all came together beautifully for these final shots.
Thank You, Mia!
Thank you, Mia, for trusting me with your senior portraits! Photographing you again was such a pleasure. I wish you an incredible senior year ahead — both on and off the tennis court.
