Yesterday started with a big surprise and an even bigger smile! 😊

As I was taking my son to an early orthodontist appointment, I walked into the waiting room, glanced at the magazine display, and there it was — my photo on the cover of a STROLL Atlanta issue! Inside were even more images from a session with one of the sweetest families I’ve been photographing for the last six years.

It was such a heartwarming moment to see my work out in the world, being used and loved by the people I photograph. Knowing that my images are meaningful enough to end up on a magazine cover reminds me exactly why I do what I do — to create photos that capture connection, joy, and love in a way that truly lasts.

This particular family always makes our sessions so fun and relaxed. They did an amazing job coordinating their outfits for this shoot. It made such a huge difference in how beautifully everything came together! In my session — and as you can see in the Atlanta STROLL magazine photos — I love including a good mix of posed and candid images. The posed photos create timeless portraits everyone cherishes, while the candid moments bring out each family’s unique energy and connection. Together, they tell a complete story of who they are.

Seeing those familiar smiles on the glossy pages of a magazine was such a wonderful way to start my day. It was also a lovely reminder that every photo we take together has a life beyond the session itself. 💛
