I spent all my school years in France which has a very different education system. So when I arrived in Atlanta, it took me a while to understand why graduation and senior photo sessions were so important. France is a small country compared to the US. Whatever you decide to study or wherever you find your first job, it will never be far from home.
The importance of capturing senior and graduation milestones
Senior and graduation pictures are a must here and I didn’t realize its importance at first! A senior year marks the end of an exciting era and the beginning of a new one. it’s the same for college graduation (see my blog “college graduation photo session“). It’s a life milestone you want to capture memories of. Your child might have spent 6 or even 12 years in the same school, with the same group of friends. This year is a unique milestone, at the same time for the graduate and for the parents!
A senior photo session gives your teenager child the opportunity to think about all the activities or locations meaningful to them. Even if they donβt always like having their pictures taken, they will be so happy to look back at that time of their life. Those photos also make great gifts for friends or family!
